Nah.. I’m not gonna sit here &lie saying you never cross my mind here &there. That i never think about you. Oh, i still do. &When people ask me if i still miss you, i couldn’t lie about that too. So when i came across a picture of us, you with that bigass smile on your face.. I couldn’t help but smile too. Reminiscing is a bitch when you know how much things have changed.

For a second, I became selfish. I grew to be impatient. Felt like time is all i got, so don’t sit around &waste it. For a second, I lost appreciation. It’s like reality hit me the wrong way &left me stuck. Fuck. I broke the very rule that was important to me: don’t get bitter, get better. &It’s funny ‘cause, i thought I’d never say this but.. For a second, i felt my heart turn cold. To the point where i rather be alone. You couldn’t tell it though. ‘Cause regardless of it all, i didn’t let it show. They call it growing pains &personal struggles. Rijeana man, you’re growin’ up. Letting go &making room for improvement. Realizing what &who is really worth it. So if you notice some changes in my attitude, don’t mistake it for me being mad at you.. I’m just growing up. Doin’ me. Ain’t that how it’s supposed be? Sigh..* &Even if i rather not, there’s a constant battle with a voice in my head saying, “this the only choice you got… So babygirl take it.”
